My work rarely starts with the technology. It starts with the question of which decision you want to be able to make, and which data has to be trustworthy for that. From there I build backwards: a Lakehouse that holds up, governance that doesn't get in anyone's way, and analytics people are willing to rely on.
Choosing one platform was deliberate. By specialising in the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform on Azure I bring depth instead of a little of everything. That means Lakehouse pipelines with Delta Lake and Lakeflow, governance with Unity Catalog, and data made usable through AI/BI, Genie and Databricks Apps.
Just as important is what I don't do: no model training, no data science. That craft I leave to specialists. I deliver the foundation they can build on right away: reliable data, clear definitions and permissions done right.
How I work
Pragmatic
No three-year architecture diagram. Start small, ship something that works, and build out from there.
Hands-on
I write the pipelines and set up the catalog. Advice that never reaches production is just an opinion.
Independent
No sales pitch for a tool. If something doesn't fit, I'll say so, even when it makes my engagement shorter.
Transferable
I work so your team can take it over: as code, documented, without a dependency on me.
